NEWS!
Some of you may already know....but...drum roll please....we are expecting again! I can not tell you how excited Kyla is! We just found out last Thursday, and Kyla still finds some stranger, or other, to tell, just about everyday. She just told one of her little friends, at ballet practice today, who was getting out of their car at the same time we were, that her "mommy has a baby in her tummy!". It was precious. Due date is February 9th. This baby, and Emery, will be just days of being 2 years apart! YIKES! We surprised Mauro on Thursday with T-shirts that said Biggest Sister for Kyla and Big Sister for Emery. We tried to take a picture of them later that day, at my parents house, but Emery's shirt was not visible in any of the pictures
It was a surprise for us. We were not planning to try for another until this month (June). Well, plans were foiled due to the fact that I was already pregnant. Fun stuff! It was great to finally have one actually be a surprise.
And, since we are on the subject of new babies, I just witnessed my first birth on Sunday, June 8th. I did not even look to see my own...YUCK! My best friend, Michela, had her second child - Naomi Nevaeh Ward. She's so cute. I even got to take pictures of the birth. I was so nervous! I am still not used to the idea that I have a camera around my neck and enjoy doing this new hobby. The whole time I was thinking, "Oh my goodness, when is Nicky going to get here?????" Nicky is our other best friend who is a great photographer (she does our Christmas card pics and all of the birth pics, etc... ). And, she did not show up until after the baby was born. She was sleeping, and accidently had her phone set to silent. Nicky, you're a nerd! Just kidding, Nicky, you know I love you. Any how, it was really exciting and humbling that they even let me be there. Chad, Michela's husband, was so sweet to allow all of her friends to be there and to take up some of the breathing room in this special moment. And, let me brag, please, she did it all without and epidural! The crazy girl! Holly, my sister, who is a CNM, did the delivery. She did a great job. It was fun to see her in action and to see her get down to business. She is such a goof ball, it's wierd to see her doing something serious and vitally important. But she was great.
Any way, I am only about 5 weeks along and as you can see, I'm already glowing...

Just some outdoor fun!
This is Emery eating sand... and then some more sand..and then refusing to look at the camera..in all the shots! Kyla on the other hand did not have a problem looking at the camera. We even got some wind action in one of them!
